Central Securities Depository Reached Investors 3x Faster and Achieved 45% Higher Engagement

About the Client

We worked with one of India's largest and most trusted securities depositories. If you've ever bought a share, mutual fund, or bond, chances are this institution played a role in holding it safely, digitally, behind the scenes. They keep track of billions of investment records and make sure the system works well, is safe, and is easy to understand. They are at the center of India's financial web and are connected to stock exchanges, regulatory authorities, and brokers.

The Challenge

Even in today's hyper-connected world, language remains a real barrier. They were doing everything right, sending out regular investor updates, service guides, policy changes, but most of it was in English. And while that worked fine in metros, it left out a significant slice of their audience in smaller towns and rural zones.

Important details were getting missed. People weren't fully understanding their rights, options, or next steps. And that's risky, for both the investor and the institution.

The second issue? Volume. They had too much content, documents, how-to videos, alerts, and not nearly enough hands or hours to handle it all in 10+ Indian languages. Accuracy was non-negotiable, and turnaround time was shrinking.

Solution

We offered a language operations system. Quiet, in the background, built to carry real weight.

We began with the most important papers, the ones that help investors. We translated everything, from onboarding instructions to service notice formats, with an eye on how the language and style will be used in the real world. No problems with reformatting or terms that don't line up. Content that was clean, compliant, and looked and read well.

Educational videos are powerful, if people understand them. We localized everything from KYC tutorials to investor protection explainers. Not just the text. We worked on training financial vocabulary to translate voiceovers. Some clips even had lip-sync to make the whole thing feel native, not dubbed.

To keep it all consistent, we built a termbase, a kind of dictionary of government-approved financial terms, sorted by language. No matter who handled what, the exact words were always used the same way. That single step saved countless hours and ensured trust.

Key Features

There was no magic switch. Just a few things done right.

  • We connected directly to their internal content flow, so updates weren't delayed waiting on translations.
  • Every translated piece kept its original format, crucial for audit readiness.
  • Voiceovers were never off-tone. They sounded like they belonged, because they did.
  • And we followed strict compliance rules for data security, no cloud shuffling, no policy risks.

Impact

The impact wasn't abstract. It was measurable, fast.

  • Investor communication in nine languages got out 3x faster than before.
  • Multilingual video engagement shot up, 45% higher, particularly in the south and east.
  • Translated documents passed every compliance test, zero flags or rejections.
  • The ops and legal teams had 70% fewer hours sunk into follow-ups, checks, and back-and-forth.
  • And over 1.2 million words, plus 58 videos, were delivered, all in under 90 days.

When people understand what you're telling them, in the language they think in, they feel included. They feel informed. And that builds long-term confidence in the system. They strengthened the bond between their brand and the investors they serve.
